Trolley at the Landing - Landing Road, previously Main Street, actually ran right to the dock. Stories are told of trolleys overrunning the track and cars braking too slowly and ending up in the harbor. When Morgan Park was built, the road was terminated in a fenced dead end that parallels the pedestrian entrance. (Caption courtesy of Joan Harrison) |
