Description |
Ralph's Deli - Ralph Cioffi weighs potatoes at his deli in the former Valentine Hotel on Carpenter Street. The store was known to have the best candy and the coldest beer in town. The proprietor of the old hotel, Andrew "Shanghai" Wilson, reportedly haunted the room above the store. Today the building is an apartment house. (Caption courtesy of Joan Harrison) |
