Description |
Women sew at Hymie Frank's Shirt Factory on Hazel Street. Many girls finished school and went to work in the factory at 16. Children of married women were cared for at the Orchard House. The shirt factory was just one workshop in Glen Cove's "Little Italy" garment industry. (Caption courtesy of Joan Harrison) |
