Description |
The Oriental Hotel was reportedly a favorite stop for Theodore Roosevelt when he came to town from the summer White House in Oyster Bay. It had a grill, banquet rooms, and a brokerage house on the first floor where guests could check their investments. The Oriental fell on hard times during Prohibition and was renamed the Ambassador.
