Description |
Dodge Store - Jordan C. Dodge, successor to James B Kirby, had his store at 99 Glen Street. Advertisements for the business (founded in 1816) promoted the first-class furniture made there along with undertaking, coffins, caskets and shrouds. The current Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home located on Franklin Avenue was originally the warehouse where the Dodge family made the furniture. Herbert K. Dodge built the warehouse on Franklin Avenue in 1894 |
