Description |
Charlie's Stationery - Charles Irvine was former chief steward of J.P. Morgan Jr.'s yacht, the Corsair, When he retired he opened Charlie's stationary store and ice cream parlor at 68 Landing Road. In the 1940s, he sold Charlie's to Stephen & John LaMere who moved the store two doors down. In July 2008 it was sold to Leo Cruz. The wood cabinets along the back wall of the store were taken from the Corsair yacht. |
