Description |
Long Island Metal & Woodworking Co., Inc. established in 1945, Founded by Manny Pearlmutter and Carl Burmann. Original factory was called Long Island Woodworking, located on Clement St. in the Landing area of Glen Cove. Fire destroyed the building and Long Island Metal & Woodworking was built on Sea Cliff Avenue next to Photocircuits. In the early 1960s when the City of Glen Cove built the new access road into Glen Cove, the Sea Cliff Avenue building was torn down under the laws of eminent domain and the business moved to Garvies Point Road under the name of Long Island Metal (later called LIMCO). |
